Choreographer + Creative Director
My name is Xavier Nunez. I'm Puerto Rican born, and came into dance through an outreach program where I eventually fell in love with ballet and storytelling. I’m a professional ballet dancer with The Joffrey Ballet and co-founder of Action Lines, a production company where dance drives our storytelling. My work is deeply personal, and my goal is to use my experience to appeal to a broader human experience. I’ve often struggled to fully express how I feel. Dance has given me a language, a way to connect, to question, to communicate. Through choreography and film, I search for something we all crave: a sense of connection.
As a young choreographer, I’m still discovering my voice. Each project is a deeper dive into the tension between vulnerability and strength, the personal and the universal. My work is rooted in humanity and guided by emotion.
